As in the past, I am trying to keep you all in the loop of information and hopefully allay apprehension.

I am sure that you are very aware of the fact that there is a storm system heading to the west coast of Florida.  Latest predictions show it landing north of us, but we are preparing nonetheless, as a storm doesn’t always follow the path of the models.  Plus, a hurricane is so much more than just the eye! 
Right now, it is a tropical storm, but they show it speeding up to a cat 3 as it crosses into our unusually warm gulf waters.

Things have been addressed to secure our premises.  Our area will probably start to feel effects tomorrow, or maybe even this evening.  A steady stream of alerts has been going out already.  And the city has already given permission to cross-tie boats.

The eye is predicted to make landfall early Wednesday morning if it follows that northerly path, but of course effects will be felt here well before that.  

I will do my best to keep you informed of the storm’s progress/effects in addition to what you see on tv.  Keep good thoughts!!
