Well, Spinnaker did it again!  Against all odds to the contrary (cold & blustery day), “Volunteer Day” took place and was a rousing success.

Again, at the appointed time, owners and renters suddenly appeared, seemingly out of nowhere and eagerly partook in the coffee and donuts provided, before efficiently proceeding to their assigned workplace.  They made short work of the chores laid out by the experienced veterans on site.

Besides the benefit of cost-free labor, more importantly, the experience of working side by side with a neighbor in a communal atmosphere is immeasurable.

Special kudos to Barbara Hansen (walkways) and Ellen Hutt (pool area) for their preparation and leadership, thereby ensuring the success of the day.  Also, thanks to Tom Albert & his crew for never-ending irrigation work, to Jerry Gavina & his crew for power washing, to Joe Buckley & crew for work on dock ladders, and JoAnn & her crew for landscape work removing old bushes.  All in all, it assured the continued existence of Spinnaker’s Spirit of “ONE FOR ALL, AND ALL FOR ONE”
